Alyssa Fuggetta's work as LynnAnn is rooted in memory, transformation, and the quiet power of the everyday. Growing up in Florida, she studied for a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Flagler College in St. Augustine, and through that training she discovered the language of color, form, and gesture. She chose the name “LynnAnn” as a tribute — blending her late mother’s middle name with her own — so every piece becomes a conversation between past and present, legacy and creation.
In her practice, she explores how memory and place intersect. She works intuitively—allowing the physical act of mark-making to carry emotion and history—while also acknowledging structure: composition, material, and surface guide the work’s resolution.
Each painting or print is a gesture of remembrance: a reflection on how we inhabit space and time, and a desire to make visible what often remains unseen. Whether the work emerges through layered washes of color or the immediate stroke of a brush, she aims to evoke a sense of transcendence — transformation from memory into something luminous and alive.
Ultimately, she hopes viewers will be drawn into the subtle resonance between image and meaning and find in the work a moment of quiet recognition: of loss, of presence, of how we carry those we love forward through the act of making.
